0Honolulu Living Foods Challenge! Get Healthy in 2015 with Local Foods!
Feeling like you need to cleanse your body and mind in the new year and not sure where to get the support? We just love this program happening in Hawaii right now called the Hawaii Living Foods Challenge.
The Living Foods Challenge started as a way for founder Ryan and Beccy Hailstones to educate people about the importance of real food, and to reconnect people with the knowledge of where their food comes from. Ryan is a Certified Nutritional Health Coach, has works with clients one on one, with families and with groups to teach about how delicious healthy living can be. His wife Beccy is a yoga teacher and fitness trainer who is likewise passionate about helping her clients stay fit on the outside and healthy and beautiful on the inside.
Why do the Living Foods Challenge? So many studies show that a diet rich in natural plant-based foods and low in processed foods is the key to a healthier, more vibrant self. And we all know by now that a local foods diet is also super good for the planet. But a focus on local foods is also important in order to sustain a healthy local agricultural economy and ensure a steady supply of deeply nutritious foods for our island state. The Living Foods Challenge is a 28 day event that includes workshops, nutritional consultation, and community support in an online group. The Living Foods team will test your health before and after the challenge, in terms of weight, BMI, body fat, muscle percentage, resting metabolism, body age, visceral fat, and antioxidant levels. The Team notes that past challengers have made remarkable transformations in just the 28 days.
The Team also wants to make it budget friendly, and has partnered with local farms, stores and food producers to offer discounts for members of the Challenge. The Team has an exciting month in store, and look forward to helping you meet your health goals for 2015. Participants get to meet like-minded individuals that are passionate about their health and are eating to make Hawaii a better place.
