A jar of jelly, jam or honey can be picked up at your local farmer’s market which boosts local economies and helps local artisans and farmers. Try to find an organic variety and one made with fresh, local ingredients. You can also try your hand at home canning which is just as rewarding as receiving this sweet treat. Honey is great option, especially when you choose local varieties that guest might not have available back home.
