Protecting Plants from Frost

2. Overturned Pots

You’ll be grateful you kept the pots your veggies and flowers came in come frost season. The plastic is just thick enough to keep out the frost, protecting young plants from damage. Larger, empty pots are useful for larger plants, bushes and even small trees. Bushels can also be used since you are looking to protect the air overhead of the plant rather than all sides. The small slits shouldn’t cause concern.
