The Benefits of Eating Walnuts

Walnut-rich diet will lower the bad cholesterol level in your blood, thus keeping you well away from heart disease. On the other hand, walnuts reduce the risk of developing blood clots that can cause heart attack. The high amount of vitamin E in walnuts is beneficial to the lining of arteries and helps stop the development of plaque in them. Walnuts also lower the risk of inflammation and increase the quality of your blood, infusing your blood sells with Omega-3 fatty acids. Although Omega-3 fatty acids are also found in fish, walnuts, as well as all other types of nuts are one of the best plant-based sources of omega-3 fatty acids.
