FDA Ordered to Take Action on Antibiotic Overuse on LIvestock

On Thursday, Judge Theodore H. Katz of New York's Southern District ruled that the Food and Drug Administration(FDA) would finally end 35-year of turning a blind eye regarding the efficacy and safety of antibiotic use in livestock. The lawsuit filed in 2011 by the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), the Natural Resources Defense Council(NRDC), Food Animal Concerns Trust (FACT), Public Citizen, and Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) resulted from growing concerns regarding the long term health affects following exposure to these antibiotics through consumption of livestock, namely the increase in antibiotic-resistant bacterias known as superbugs. ... Ads attacking alternative milks are downright hilarious but tinged with sadness as well. One mocks alternative milk that require shaking. Farm fresh milk requires shaking to ensure the fats get mixed back into the milk but we've become so distant from farm fresh that many don't know that. What we are really seeing here is fear.
