5 Eco-Friendly Baby Products New Moms Need

Cloth diapers

2. Diapers

There is a movement that pursues the idea of toilet training very early on, but for most people the diaper is a necessity. 80 percent of diapering uses disposable diapers. That translates to 82,000 tons of plastic and 1.3 tons of wood pulp per year. There are so many amazing cloth diapers on the market now that use natural fabrics from wool to hemp and everything in between. They are stylish, easy to use and can be washed at home or sent to have the professionals deal with. I made cloth diapers for the two years of use for about $150 while we figured a friend spent about $1600 for the same span of time. Use cloth wipes instead of disposable and the savings continue.
