1Buying Energy Efficient Appliances
Don’t go into sticker shock when you’re looking at ENERGY STAR efficient appliances. If you do some research, you’ll find that you can’t afford not to buy them. Appliances that conserve energy are a good choice because:
- Rising electricity costs mean that energy saving appliances will grow more and more cost effective over the next few years. If you can’t afford appliances with the ENERGY STAR logo, look for energy efficient models that don’t quite meet the energy star standards. You won’t be conserving quite as much energy, but you’ll still be using less than you would if you bought a model that wasn’t designed to save energy.
- Energy efficient appliances help conserve important resources, such as trees and water.
