It sounds like a secret utopia, but this company basically owns most vegan and vegetarian favorites. Rice Dream, Earth’s Best and Alba Botanica are just a few of the companies owned by the Hain Celestial group. Their products are so wonderful though, why should we avoid them? Over the past decade Hain Celestial has swallowed up small natural food companies at an alarming rate. Their biggest investor is Wellington Management. If that name doesn’t ring a bell than look into Exxon-Mobil, McDonald’s and Monsanto that are just three of its primary investors. It’s not just about the evil these companies do to the environment, it’s about them monopolizing America which makes transparency even more difficult for consumers.
