Check in with The Amazings and Learn Something New!
The Amazings are, well… amazing! Taking a cue for the adage that we should learn from our elders, The Amazings has connected teachers of life-skills and lost arts to willing learners across the wide world of the web! They offer classes, courses and wisdom from
elders with amazing life experience. Much like Skillshare, The Amazings offer lessons in a world of skills: yoga, knitting, jazz guitar, wood turning, bookbinding and corset making (now there is a lost art!)– among many others. The learners have said such great things as, “We can learn so much from our elders. They always have the best stories and can teach us so many things!” and this is “The most friendly, huggable learning experience there is.”
How can you get involved? Sign up for some of their activities (sorry Yanks, looks like their all London-based currently). But you can also nominate your town, or sign up to become a teacher. So check out this great site and get to nominating some cities on this side of the pond to get The Amazings teaching us skills here in the US!
