Making More than Lemonade from Lemons

4. Lemons for Decorating

The bright and cheery color of lemons can help bring a little sunshine to any room any time of the year. A pile of lemons on a pretty platter creates a striking centerpiece while a few small lemons at the bottom of a vase adds even more character to your fresh cut wildflowers. Pomanders are usually made with oranges but lemons work just as well, if not better. Strategically place cloves into your lemons and dab some vanilla extract for intensely delicious scents which are pleasing to the eyes and nose. Thinly slice lemons and allow to dry and then hang with cinnamon sticks and star anise for an interesting and air freshening garland.

If you’d like to sink further into a lemon-induced coma, check out this awesome list of things to do when life gives you lemons.
