2. Add Ingredients to Container
Choose a container which will allow for easy access to the sour cream. A quart size canning jar is a great choice. You can also reuse any old sour cream containers. Measure out half a cup of buttermilk and pour into your clean container. Fill the rest of the container with either your cream or half and half.
