3. Pour Into Containers
While glass canning jars are not mandatory, they do make the most ecological sense. They also do a wonderful job of keeping yogurt nice and cold in the refrigerator. Jar storage also adds a little more time to its shelf life. You can also reuse yogurt, sour cream or cottage cheese containers or any other plastic storage system.
