Can Eco Clothing be Trendy?

If you are shopping for eco clothing for the first time, you may be picturing frumpy sack dresses.  If so, you’re in for a pleasant surprise.  Eco clothing can be quite trendy and it’s popping up on more than one fashion show runway. To shop for an environmentally-friendly wardrobe:

• Look for pieces that have classic lines.  Eco clothing is usually a bit more expensive than other clothing, so you’ll want most of your new wardrobe to last for several years.

• Add a few trendy accessories each year to be sure you look stylish and up-to-date.

• Be sure you are buying fair trade fashion.  All natural cotton clothing isn’t eco friendly if it was manufactured in a sweat shop.
