Bach Flower Remedies: Natural Medicine from Nature’s Bounty
In 1930, prominent physician Dr. Edward Bach left his traditional medical practice to focus on his newly found discovery that the essences of common flowers could treat a wide variety of emotional and physical illnesses—often more effectively than the orthodox methods he had used before.
Today, most green health care stores carry Bach flower remedies, and they are used to treat the emotional conditions that typically underlie common physical ailments. They work on the principle that the mind and body are intricately connected, and that each profoundly affects the other.
The most famous of the Bach Remedies is actually a mixture of different remedies called Rescue Remedy. This treatment is used during traumatic times or events and is known to create a feeling of peaceful calm within its users—even during the most stressful of circumstances.
Most Bach remedies come in a small dropper bottle, as many dosages are a few drops per day. It is recommended that you take no more than six or seven remedies at a time. They can be purchased at your local health food or vitamin store.
