Letter from the Editor… and a Call to Writers
Hi everyone- I’m Andrea, the new managing editor of Green Living Ideas!
Green Living Ideas aims to be the best source of information about how to live a cleaner, greener life, and as the managing editor of this awesome site, I will do my best to continue this green tradition! GLI offers ideas, tips, and information to help you integrate sustainability into every aspect of your life: home energy, green building, transportation, cars, food, waste recycling—and everything in between. The great success of this blog is due to many years of work by both Karen Lee and Vivian Nelson Melle with lots of support from the amazing team at The Important Media Network. In addition to managing GLI, I am the editor and creator of Vibrant Wellness Journal, another site on the IM network devoted to holistic health, green living, and clean eats. Food is definitely my passion, so expect to see a lot of food politics and clean eating recipes sneaking in between the green living ideas!
I am a vegetarian chef and educator based in Honolulu. In addition to my work with Vibrant Wellness Journaland Green Living Ideas, I work in marketing for a locally-owned health food store and run my own nutritional consultation business. I’m passionate about yoga, reading, cookingnatural foods, organic living… and kale! I’ve worked on farms, in cafes, in offices, and in kitchens, learning about food politics and the importance of natural wellness along the way. My goal is to educate people about the importance of plant-based health and wellness, and inspire people to live clean, green lives.
I am also happy to send out a call for writers for our site! If you are a blogger interested in green living and sustainability, or if you have some awesome news worthy of sharing with our readers, e-mail me! We’re most interested in those who already have an established passion for writing (either blogging or freelance) and who know green living inside and out- we want to know that you walk the walk, right?
We pay great writers per article, and do a revenue share from all the advertising that’s on our website.
And if you are looking for more sustainable, edible, or geek-able information, please check out the other AWESOME sites on The Important Media Network:
