After doing a radiant floor retro fit job where I stapled the tubing to the sub floor and shimmed the floor above the tubing to provide a nailing surface for the finish floor, I highly recommend using a product like warm floor. I spent too many hours cutting and fitting small shims to fill in between the rows of tubing. The warm floor product would have saved many hours on the job.
