Green Inspirations
We are thrilled to see so many successful green companies thrive in this tough economy. And we love sharing their stories. However, we can not possibly cover all the awesome companies out there.
So, this where you come in.
If you have an inspiring story on how your business or product can help us live better, healthier, and greener, here is your chance to share your story with our readers! You can create your own content and submit it for review and publication under our “Green Inspirations” category.
Where will it feature on the site?
All approved posts will appear on our main page in the order received. Featured posts will appear on the main page and will be the top post for a day. Posts will be visible to our growing readership and will be distributed through social media channels – Facebook and Twitter at least 3 times the day it’s posted. It will also be submitted on Reddit, Digg, and across Important Media. The featured post on “Green Inspirations” will also appear on the sidebar for one week after it’s published.
What does it cost?
A feature on “Green Inspirations” will cost $ 150 per post. We do offer article writing, so please contact us if that is something of interest to you.
What kind of content can you submit?
You can submit anything pertaining to your sustainable business – interviews, press-releases, videos or a regular feature post. You could also report a study or research finding or even an infographic, as long as it’s from you and your company. The stage is yours!
What does the approval process entail?
The content is reviewed for formatting mainly. Of course, the topic needs to generally jive with what our blog stands for. Posts published under this feature are not necessarily endorsed by Green Living Ideas.
What format do you accept?
We accept in Word or plain text format but with following guidelines.
Include all the information — relevant links, link text, etc. — you want the published version of your post to include.
- Include the title, headlines, body text, and your byline.
- Please don’t use bold font in the content text.
- Subheadings: Highlight your subheadings in BOLD.
- Links: if you want to mark up a link, include the URL in brackets immediately after the text you’d like to use as the link text.
Posting Guidelines
- Please submit content relevant to the site. We will not accept any topics that we feel are not fitting to what Green Living Ideas is about.
- If you have a time constraint on the posting, let us know and we will work with you.
- If you have a press release or product release coming up, I encourage you to submit your content a few days earlier so we are able to publish a top quality post on time.
- Please include images/ video links or any other visuals you would like to go on the post. You may submit these with the main post. Images should be high quality, 640 X 400 pixels in size.
- You can submit a short author/ company bio and headshot/logo image to go below the post.
- Typical posts lengths are 400-600 words but are not limited to this length.
