Cycling Apparel for the Eco Sexy Biker… Go Naked
Want to be a green cyclist? Forget the cycling apparel and go naked! That’s what thousands of riders around the world did on this last Saturday as cycling activists in the 7th Annual World Naked Bike Ride.
People from around the world took their cycling apparel off or left it at home on Saturday, June 12th in an effort to bring more attention to what is perhaps the greenest, cleanest transportation option in the world. These sexy eco cyclists (ok, maybe not all of them were so sexy) went above and beyond bicycling for transportation purposes and hopefully it will encourage more people to get on their bikes (with or without cycling apparel) more often.
Bicycling is one of the best things you can do to address climate change, reduce other harmful pollution, save money (especially if you forget the cycling apparel), and improve your health.
The World Naked Bike Ride, created by Vancouver-based activist Conrad Schmidt in 2004, is “the most exhilarating cycling experience since taking off your training wheels,” Schmidt says.
