Happy Earth Day 2009!

Earth Day is finally here!  Today is the day to get out and celebrate our planet.  And by that we mean hug some trees, plant some seeds, walk to school. Pick just one thing…it can be anything different to what you normally do, to reduce your carbon footprint today.

When we read the doom and gloom in the media about our earth, we often feel overwhelmed and confused, wondering what it is that we can do to make a difference.

  2. Earth Day is a great way to let people know how important environment is, and how we can save it. But the sad part is that it comes only once a year! Hence all our activities start and end on the same day. I think it’s time we should take this initiative a step forward. We should adopt such measures which we can continue through the year. For instance – Conserve Water at home. There are simple ways in which you can save water at home. Things like turning off the water when you brush your teeth can save 3 gallons per day, taking shorter showers saves 5 gallons a day, and installing a smart sprinkler controller saves 40 gallons per day! Here are some more similar tips: http://www.bewaterwise.com/tips01.html In this way we can also fight the problem of water shortage faced by many regions in the world. Every day is a Earth Day!
