Choose Non VOC Paints to Reduce Toxicity

According to the EPA, levels of indoor pollutants are significantly
higher than those outside.  Most of these come from VOCs or volatile
organic compounds that evaporate from common house paint. Needless to
say, unless you remodeled your home relatively recently  say in the
last 5-6 years, chances are that your home was painted with VOC paints.
VOCs release toxins that harm your health if you are exposed to them in
low doses of them over an extended period of time.

So if you are looking to give your home a color touch up then it is a good idea to search for non VOC paints that are created from natural dyes. With a little bit of research and effort, you will achieve the color combination that you want for your home without any toxic side effects.

Why wait for an excuse to remodel your home?  Painting is a quick and easy way to give your surroundings a makeover.  And by doing so, you can give your health a makeover too.
